The Club will be conducting the 6th Annual Blues Challenge during the Old Capitol Blues & Barbecue, August 25, 2012 beginning at noon. The winner of the band challenge will receive $1,000 in travel monies to represent the Club at the Blues Foundation’s 29th Annual International Blues Challenge, scheduled to take place January 29, 2013 - February 2, 2013 in Memphis, TN.

A separate competition for a solo/duo act will take place on the same day. The winner of the solo/duo competition will receive $500 in travel monies. At least one member of the band or solo/duo act must be a member of the Illinois Central Blues Club. Bands, Duos and Soloist interested in competing in the Challenge

Additional Information

• Applicants will need to submit photos, a band biography, and a cassette tape or CD of the band’s music (Pic/Recording Quality is not a factor)
• Only the first three songs will be considered
• Entry fee is $10 and must accompany applications
• The Entry Fee will be remitted if your act is not selected to compete in the August 25th Competition
