Billy Galt, from Monticello, Illinois, has been Singing the Blues since 1980.  He is an amazing acoustic guitarist, and can sing in the deepest, most gravelly blues voice you've ever heard.  His range is phenomenal, and his voice can be mellow when that fits the song.  No matter the style, Billy is a musician that ranks right up at the top of any list.

 

Billy performs solo, but also is the leader of The Blues Deacons, a popular Champaign based band formed in 1990 and still going strong.
